Here’s an interesting project for those involved in healthcare. Mohamed Abuaziza, a university student, decided to build a blood pressure monitoring device that can upload data to the cloud to make it more easily available to healthcare professionals and caregivers. He wired an FHDA BP101R USB blood pressure monitor to an Arduino Yún, and is using Temboo’s Google > Spreadsheets > AppendRow Choreo to upload a patient’s systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate readings to a Google spreadsheet. He’s also developed an iPhone app using Temboo’s iOS SDK to retrieve those readings from the spreadsheet and deliver them to individuals who might be monitoring the patient. We’re looking forward to hearing more from Mohamed as his project progresses, so stay tuned!
