Man using Samsung and Temboo

Samsung and Temboo Join Forces

This morning, we joined Samsung in introducing their new ARTIK platform at IoT World in San Francisco. Samsung’s collaboration with Temboo was announced by Young Sohn, President and Chief Strategy Officer of Samsung Electronics, during Samsung’s keynote presentation about their new range of IoT modules. We’ve been working together with Samsung to make it easy to connect ARTIK devices to cloud services, and every ARTIK board will ship with a Temboo library pre-installed so that developers can get to work building powerful ARTIK IoT applications right away. As with the other hardware platforms that Temboo supports, ARTIK devices can be programmed to run any of the 2000+ Choreos in the Temboo Library, stream data to the cloud, trigger and respond to web-based processes, and more.

Samsung Electronics’s Vice President of Ecosystem, Curtis Sasaki, said:

“Bringing Temboo’s technology stack to the ARTIK platform is an important part of our effort to provide developers all the tools they need to design and build a wide range of IoT devices and applications. Together, we can lower the barriers around programming IoT devices to interact with the cloud, enabling developers to build multi-functional applications in minutes.”
